Mr. Muhtaseb has delivered numerous presentations at prestigious international conferences, and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals. European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons 2009

Amongst several presentations at the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons annual meeting, Barcelona 2009, Mr Muhtaseb was invited to join the Faculty of the highly rated ‘Video Symposium on Challenging Cases’.  This symposium brings together surgeons to show surgical video recordings of their most challenging cases and how they were dealt with.  It is a very popular and well-attended session in which delegates aim to learn methods for approaching difficult surgical situations.

International INTACS users' group meeting 2009

In April 2009 I was one of two international experts in the use of INTACS that were invited to speak about personal experience in the use of INTACS.  We also discussed approaches to challenging cases and answered questions from delegates.  The meeting was held at the Cabinet War Rooms in Central London.  Also pictured are (left to right): Arnold Flores of Addition Technology, Prof Joseph Colin from France, and Ian Ponsford of Kestrel Ophthalmics.

American Academy of Ophthalmology 2004

Mr Muhtaseb presents his original paper on Cataract Risk Stratification in the Arena of the Convention Centre in Anaheim, California. This imposing venue was attended by some of the world's opinion leaders in cataract and refractive surgery, and a wider of audience of surgeons in practice from around the world.

As well as his full fellowships in corneal surgery and inflammatory eye diseases, Mr. Muhtaseb spent 9 months undertaking a full fellowship in refractive surgery, followed by independent practice as a Consultant in the United Kingdom.  This forms the foundation for advice and treatment that you can trust at i.Lase.
