We take care of you – the aftercare
ENSURING YOU ARE WELL LOOKED AFTER THROUGHOUT YOUR RECOVERY AND BEYOND
AS SEEN IN
Here we explain what you need to know about the aftercare
Aftercare is an essential part of your treatment and forms part of the preoperative planning.
We will have your individualised postoperative care plan in place to ensure you are well looked after throughout your recovery.
Your postoperative schedule will depend on:
- The presence or absence of other ocular conditions (e.g. glaucoma, poor vision in the other eye, etc.)
- The findings at your initial consultation
- The time between surgery for each eye
- The distance from your home to the clinic
The postoperative checks are always arranged to ensure you receive the most appropriate care and may be arranged with Prof Muhtaseb, or with your optometrist, or both.

“I would like to thank you most sincerely for the laser surgery you performed to improve my eyesight. It really has improved the quality of my life and I feel like a new person.”
“I was given a choice of lenses and detailed information before making my decision. I am now able to drive and read without glasses. It was entirely painless and the care I received before and after the procedures was excellent.”
“I was very impressed with the preop eye assessment and the consultation by Prof Muhtaseb explaining the options properly, sensibly and in detail focusing on my individual situation. Surgery (PRK) went well, and the results are excellent.”
“My vision is really clear. I easily read the Sunday paper without glasses the day after my surgery.”
