UNDERSTANDING YOUR NEEDS AND DESIRED OUTCOME ACHIEVES THE BEST RESULTS
Here we explain what you can expect at your consultation
Your treatment with Prof Muhtaseb starts with an in-depth consultation.
We will take care to understand your symptoms and difficulties, and the impact these are having on your lifestyle, work, hobbies, and confidence.
We will establish the activities for which you would be happy to use glasses after surgery, and those for which you would rather not need to use glasses. This will inform the type of lens implant that we agree to use during your cataract or RLE surgery.
We will explain any necessary and preferred tests to you, and gather all the data required to plan your surgery using state-of-the-art equipment at every stage.
At this point we will provide all the information you need to make an informed choice about your treatment and, together, we will agree a plan that is tailored to your specific requirements and is most likely to achieve your desired outcomes.
Aftercare is an essential part of your treatment and forms part of the preoperative planning. We will have your individualised post-operative care plan in place to ensure you are well looked after throughout your recovery.
