ENSURING YOU ARE WELL LOOKED AFTER THROUGHOUT YOUR RECOVERY AND BEYOND

AFTERCARE EXPLAINED

Here we explain what you need to know about the aftercare

The aftercare

Aftercare is an essential part of your treatment and forms part of the preoperative planning.

We will have your individualised postoperative care plan in place to ensure you are well looked after throughout your recovery.

Your postoperative schedule will depend on:

  • The presence or absence of other ocular conditions (e.g. glaucoma, poor vision in the other eye, etc.)
  • The findings at your initial consultation
  • The time between surgery for each eye
  • The distance from your home to the clinic

The postoperative checks are always arranged to ensure you receive the most appropriate care and may be arranged with Prof Muhtaseb, or with your optometrist, or both.
